Job Description

The ideal candidate loves talking to people and proactively solving issues. You will be responsible for converting customers into passionate campaigner for Ron the Sewer Rat.


Ron the Sewer Rat is a locally owned drain cleaning and plumbing business. We’ve been serving the twin cities metro area for over fifty years. We take pride in the quality of our work, and we strive to offer great customer care at an affordable price. Our honesty and integrity have enabled us to build lasting relationships with our customers for nearly 50 years.

We are looking to hire a full time experienced customer care specialist to become part of our team. Providing high quality customer service to our residential and commercial customers is our top priority. We want someone who takes pride in their work, is willing to learn, honest, and willing to go the extra mile to provide excellent service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete, accurate and updated information in the customer database.
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
  • Promptly report any service issues to the appropriate leader to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Effectively manage conflict resolution with customers through clear communication, addressing all concerns, questions, or problems in a timely manner.
  • Respond to incoming customer calls with courtesy, offering appointment windows, and scheduling service calls accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work with Dispatcher to schedule service calls and debrief technicians with accurate customer information.
  • Follows Customer Care “Call Checklist” for quality and efficient responses to customers.
  • Making phone calls and sending e-mails as necessary to secure the appropriate amount of scheduled calls required to fill our daily service needs.
  • Maintain required daily call counts to meet daily, weekly and monthly quotas.


Qualifications

  • Excellent phone etiquette and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in most M.S. Office applications (Word, Excel) and willing to learn other software applications used by Ron the Sewer Rat
  • Able to work under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Proactive approach; ability to identify and solve problems.
  • At least 1 - 3 years' of relevant work experience. Prior call center experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude customers at all times.
  • High School Diploma, General Educational Degree(GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work


What you'll be doing

The primary responsibility is to be the first interaction with customers and exceed their expectations in terms of service quality and to provide options for service appointments. While we prefer a person with customer service experience in a call center environment. We will also consider candidates with plumbing, or sewer and drain cleaning industry experience. The full-time hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional on call shifts on the weekends. Hourly pay depends on experience.
