Customer Service Optician needed

Got a flair for style and a gift for making people feel their best? Our growing practice needs a motivated new team member to help our patients leave our office looking AND SEEING their best in the perfect new pair of glasses. This is a full-time position at our upscale office with NO WEEKENDS offering the stability of a career in healthcare!

NO Experience Needed:

Prior medical office or eyecare experience is a plus but certainly NOT required. We offer paid training to the right person with a great attitude, a helpful heart, and a love of learning!

You’ll be helping our patients choose the right glasses for them based on their personal style, lifestyle needs, prescription, and more. Out of everyone that works at our practice, the Optician has the honor of satisfying patients the most! You will not just help your patients see their best while looking FABULOUS but you will be educating them on how to care for their eyesight.

Some of your duties will include:

• Consistent cross-training with our optometric technicians
• Checking new glasses for fit and making adjustments
• Helping people pick out frames that suit them based on the shape of their face, bridge fit, lifestyle, and prescription.
• Keeping the optical space looking clean, neat and welcoming
• Determining the best lens types, materials, coatings, and brands for patients’ lifestyles. For example, a kid who plays basketball will need something different from someone who works on a computer all day.
• Doing inventory, ordering, sending and receiving shipments
• Educating patients on what their insurance covers
• Troubleshooting prescription issues
• Educating first-timers on how to use and take care of their glasses and contacts
• Miscellaneous repairs
• Taking accurate measurements for all lens styles and prescriptions
• Billing insurance
