Job Description
The Customer Service Representative will serve as the main point of contact for our company to the local community as a service provider for the Federal Lifeline Program. The position will focus on the coordination and execution of community outreach events to increase the awareness of the program as well as enroll eligible benefit recipients.


The Customer Service Representative Team champions initiatives for the greater good through impactful promotional strategies and events. The ultimate goal of the program is to assist underprivileged community members in obtaining basic communication tools to improve the quality of life and seek impactful alternatives for low-income families to increase their socio-economic standing and provide overall job security.


Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:


  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of community participation in programs and demographic data for outreach impact
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned by operational management
  • Understand program goals, monitor progress towards meeting these goals, and communicate this progress to program leadership on a regular basis
  • Assist in day to day operations of the division/program as needed
  • Ensure participant files contain all necessary and up-to-date participation documentation
  • Create, distribute, and collect records of program participants, new enrollments and service areas
  • Greet and assist community members in the enrollment of the government assistance program by verifying eligibility and completing all necessary documentation
  • Provide general assistance to the members of the division
  • Attend community outreach and program enrollment training as required by funders and/or division leadership


Customer Service Representative Qualifications:


  • Experience working with a non-profit agency/organization is a plus
  • Comfortable taking initiative to learn the basics of the program, determine and generate corresponding outreach events and enrollments, and share findings on an on-going basis
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Attention to detail and commitment to the program initiatives
  • Sound judgment and commitment to ensuring the confidentiality of the participant's records
  • A courteous and pleasant manner for quality customer service to those in need
  • Strong Problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent customer service and organization skills
  • Commitment to full-time schedule and punctuality
