Custodian - Night Shift

Custodian - Night Shift Job Summary: The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe manufacturing environment. This position will require cleaning and sanitizing manufacturing areas, equipment, and tools. The Custodian will also be responsible for adhering to safety procedures, identifying and reporting safety hazards, and ensuring that all equipment is in good working order. Key Responsibilities:

• Attention to detail.
• Ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment. Working Conditions: The Custodian will work in a manufacturing environment that may include exposure to loud noises, fumes, and chemicals. The position may require working in areas with limited lighting or ventilation. The Custodian may be required to work overtime or on weekends as needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to receive forklift certification.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Knowledge of safety procedures.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
• Clean and sanitize manufacturing areas, equipment, and tools.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.Physical Requirements:
• Good communication skills.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
• Follow safety procedures and report safety hazards to management.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Perform light maintenance and repairs on equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.
