Job Description

Job Summary:


University Health Services (UHS) is hiring a Custodian for our night shift. UHS provides custodial services to most areas of 333 East Campus Mall, including non-UHS space.
The Services teams provide services to multiple floors in the 333 East Campus Mall. These floors include offices, meeting spaces, and break areas. There are 2 Medical Clinics floors and one floor that is primarily Mental Health Clinic. Unique cleaning guidelines may be in place in some of these areas.


Responsibilities:

Cleans facilities, remove waste and recycling and monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours. Ensures cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas.
  • 10% Documents and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needs
  • 10% Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entities
  • 50% Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables
  • 20% Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed
  • 10% Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice
