We are dedicated to empowering persons with developmental disabilities charged with a felony crime to acquire the skills needed to become competent to stand trial, and to acquire the skills and supports that will prepare them for success in their future environments.


DDDP is a forensic facility working with individuals with disabilities in a secure setting. These individuals have been adjudicated by the courts as incompetent to proceed to trial and have significant behavioral and psychiatric issues. DDDP provides rehabilitative, vocational, and daily living skills training to the individuals served which allows for a smooth transition back into a non-secure residential or community setting.


Duties of a Custodial Worker F/C include:

  • Special daily cleaning and disinfecting of patient and public bathrooms, dining areas, recreational areas, etc. to aseptically clean wash sinks, tubs (outside only) showers, toilet bowls, urinals, seats, pipes, fixtures, mirrors, walls and partitions, floors, etc. Maintains adequate supply and replaces paper products and soaps. Removes trash.
  • Special daily cleaning and disinfecting of patients occupied and unoccupied bedrooms and other critical care areas, including over bed lights, windowsills, ledges, doorknobs, light fixtures, ceilings, partitions, sinks, doors, and floors.
  • Operates automatic scrubbers, wet vacuum, carpet vacuum, low and high sped buffers, floor conventional scrubbers, carpet equipment, pressure washer, ceiling and corner cleaning machines and all other types of housekeeping/janitorial equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, secure and clean environment.
  • Special daily cleaning of utility rooms and all other areas within the assigned area.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Monitor appropriate use of tools, supplies and equipment to maximize safety and security; inventory items as needed.
  • Check equipment routinely for preventive maintenance, safety, and sanitation.
  • Performs stripping, scrubbing, buffing, shampooing tasks as required. Applies sealers, floor finish, germicidal cleaner, strippers and all other necessary cleaning chemicals.

Other job-related requirements for this position:


  • A valid driver’s license. License suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/ Employment/Education only license) and some types of restricted license are not acceptable. Licenses that have “Corrective Lenses Restricted,” are acceptable, provided the driver wears the corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.

WORK SCHEDULE

This position is located at a 24-hour facility. Team members must be agreeable to working a shift schedule; regular, evening, or night. Days Off: Varies.

Employees may be required to work additional days/hours based upon the needs of the facility and those we serve. This includes, but is not limited to ensuring facility coverage, activities, holidays, and emergency situations.
