McGraw-Hill, the leading provider of print and digital educational materials for Grades PreK-12, is looking for a Curriculum Specialist to support Virginia, Maryland, and DC with a background in Humanities with emphasis on ELA/Literacy.

How will you make an impact?
Curriculum Specialists are former educators who become product specialists and master presenters whose primary responsibilities include:
  • Delivering winning sales presentations and supportive pre and post sales work, including but not limited to strategy development, training, etc.
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of products sold and supported related to the territory revenue goal
  • Ability to work successfully and collaboratively with sales team members as well as work in a self-directed/independent manner
  • Fostering relationships and leveraging knowledge to increase sales
  • Conducting training for the internal sales team
  • Conducting professional development and in-service training of all products for new and current users
  • Designing and delivering highly effective presentations of our products to internal and external customers
This position works remotely. Candidates will be part of the Central Atlantic Team: MI, OH, IL, WI, IN, KY, MD, VA, and DC. This role will support MD, VA, and DC and candidates should live in one of these areas. The School Education Group will provide home office equipment as well as a company vehicle.

What you’ll need to be successful:
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and online/web-based tools
  • Experience presenting and/or education coaching
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must be able to travel overnight (80%)
  • A minimum of five years of teaching experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Must live near a major metropolitan airport
  • Must have versatile technology skills
Desired Skills:
  • Fluent Spanish-Speaker
  • Experience presenting state or local education conferences
  • Previous experience with curriculum development and selection
  • Can develop rapport with an audience and effectively and strategically respond to audience questions
