Job Summary:


Teq is seeking a Curriculum Specialist to design, develop, refine, and deliver Teq’s Professional Development (PD)/Professional Learning (PL) content, curriculum, and project-based learning (PBL) educational resources. The Curriculum Specialist will adhere to effective instructional practices for teaching and developing adult learners in multiple environments. The selected candidate will create materials for Teq’s online learning modules and trainings. This includes, and is not limited to, interactive whiteboard content, lesson plans and materials, instructional blocks (iBlocks), and both self-paced and synchronous web-based learning solutions. The Curriculum Specialist will also be responsible for the effective development, presentation, and delivery of courses and workshops designed to improve both teaching and learning on Teq’s Online PD platform – OTIS for educators. Additionally, they will also occasionally provide PD/PL at conferences and onsite (or virtually) in schools/districts.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with selected 3rd party publishers, partners, and internal stakeholders to curate, customize, implement, and support high quality PD/PL experiences onsite and online.
  • Develop lesson objectives, outlines, and other course documents per Teq PD standards.
  • Actively pursue opportunities to learn best practices in curriculum writing through research, professional development, and other professional opportunities.
  • Utilize various tools to create and maintain interactive and engaging courses for both embedded trainings (mentoring, coaching, and workshops) and online formats.
  • Deliver PD/PL experiences both onsite and online as needed or requested.
  • Design PD/PL sessions and instructional resources geared toward teachers, Pre-K to 12, that appeal to various learning styles.
  • Evaluate the curriculum Teq offers on an ongoing basis in coordination with the PD Management Team.
  • Design and develop project-based learning lessons, pathways, and supporting content and curriculum resources.
  • Enhance the PD/PL content on Teq’s Online PD platform – OTIS for educators to ensure relevance to teachers and school leaders thereby increasing value, revenue, and profit.
  • Other duties assigned as deemed necessary and appropriate.
  • Provide assistance and sales support to the Teq Sales Team on matters related to education, PD, professional learning resources, and project-based learning (PBL).


Desired Skills and Experience:


  • Detail oriented and possess strong project management and organization skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree in Education, Education Technology, or related field preferred
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
  • Computer Science experience in coding/ programming a plus!
  • Experience integrating technology into curriculum and instruction
  • Demonstrated ability in creating and implementing professional development
  • Working knowledge of relevant state standards
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
  • Experience with instructional design, learning design, and/or curriculum design


Compensation and Benefits:
