Job Description

The Curriculum Developer I reports to the Manager, Learning & Development and is responsible for the design and development of learning content objects enabled or enhanced by the internet, intranet, extranet, or other electronic media, including instructor-led learning events, self-paced electronic learning modules, support documents, job aids, and other shareable content objects. Aligns learning with core values, culture, and company objectives.


Essential Functions

•Produces creative, interactive, learning content applying instructional theories and principles. •Develops instructional material and incorporates current technology into learning solutions. •Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to gather and define content on an ongoing basis. •Meets with key stakeholders to evaluate and confirm learning objectives on a project basis. •Conducts audience and content analysis to determine the best methodology and implementation strategy to achieve desired outcomes.

•Organizes and works under strict time and production deadlines, while producing quality deliverables.

•Develops and implements tools and processes to measure effectiveness of curriculum solutions and learner performance to ensure solutions meet instructional objectives.

•Conceptualizes, designs, and produces graphics for print and online applications.


Other Duties

•Acquires and applies advanced knowledge of the business, its products, and processes.

•Acquires and applies knowledge of learning applications, platforms, and a learning management system to maintain and update learning content and course administration.

•Identifies learning and behavioral gaps and proactively suggests potential learning solutions. •Collaborates in the design and maintenance of development standards and processes.

•Leverages best practices in learning methodology to ensure highest-level of training effectiveness. •Periodically reviews created content to keep all materials up-to-date and accurate in alignment with organizational change strategies.

•Performs all other duties as assigned.


Job Specifications

Leadership Responsibility: This position’s leadership responsibilities involve enhancing business skills and knowledge, understanding and navigating the organization, managing change, and managing core content of training applications.

Work Environment: This position is in Alpharetta, GA and operates in a professional office environment.

Position Type/Standard Schedule: This is a Full-time temporary position and hours of work are Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel: No travel is required for this position.


Education & Experience

•Bachelor’s degree and/or instructional design certification preferred, or equivalent work experience.

•1 or more years’ progressive work experience in instructional design and development preferred. •Proficiency in eLearning developer applications such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, and/or similar tools.

•Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Audition, InDesign and/or similar tools.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) a must.
