We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Credit Analyst located in Dallas, Texas.
Essential Job Duties:
- Analyze customer financial information and credit reports: Credit Risk Monitor, Credit Safe, 3A Credit, D&B, etc.
- Work/consult with the business and sales groups on credit decisions
- Responsible for approving new accounts as well as existing accounts consistent with associated risk and business objectives
- Counsel and advise on marginal risk accounts while maximizing sales
- Manage an effective collection program including prompt turnover of accounts receivable
- Review sales contracts
- Assist with periodic audits
- Occasional domestic travel plus Canada
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
- Working knowledge of domestic and international finance, banking, accounting, and UCC filings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to implement aggressive collection practices while maximizing sales volume
- Excellent analytical skills in reviewing customer financial statements
- Knowledge of an ERP system (SAP or Oracle) and efficient use of Word, Excel, and Outlook
Additional Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of corporate credit experience preferred
- Prior experience in chemicals or manufacturing
- Credit supervisory/manager experience
- Able to use tact and diplomacy in dealing with customers, internal sales and business personnel
- Adept at conflict resolution
- Formal credit training or MBA a plus
