As a Credentialing Specialist, you will work closely with our amazing team to ensure the highest quality and accuracy of credentialing processes. Your responsibilities will include primary source verification, follow-up, data collection, data entry, and document review. You will act as a liaison for completing and ensuring compliance and delivery of required information to clients in a timely manner. Additionally, you will identify and evaluate potential red flags and work in collaboration with practitioners to document issues and physician responses.
To be successful in this role, you should have an associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, and a minimum of one year of experience in healthcare credentialing. Experience with Credentialing Accreditation by Joint Commission or National Committee for Quality Assurance is preferred, as is a demonstrated working knowledge of the healthcare and credentialing industry, including medical-legal issues and laws, regulatory agencies. CPCS certification is also preferred, but a commitment to pursue certification within one year is acceptable.
