Cost Accountant Jobs

As a Job Cost Accountant, you will coordinate with the Controller, Outside Sales, Business Partners, and Service Managers located in house as well as remote service center locations and warehouse facilities, to facilitate efficient and timely administration of company projects. You will oversee custodial responsibility for original sales order files, that includes- Original quotation, approved submittals, pricing exception documentation, site surveys, and all correspondences. You will have fiduciary responsibility for the integrity of the service center's job costing, account coding and adherence to company policies.

• Contributing to Purchase order timelines/cancellations
• Invoicing and job costing of sales orders
• Responsible for product cost analysis, identifying errors and opportunities, preparing reports and communicating with various departments within the company
• Provide pricing and projections on materials for projects
• Purchase order receipt and AP invoice approval and processing
• Records entries, including but not limited to: Efficiency variance, cost of sales, cycle counts, warranty and purchase price variance
• Validation of proper sales and/or use tax treatment
• Involvement in inventory maintenance in relation to quoted timelines on purchase orders
• Maintains data and determines cost standards for all products
• Monthly reporting and billing summaries
• Provide accounting support on sales by reviewing financial information, converting data to ERP, and obtaining additional information for preparing financials
• Tracking of the open orders and weekly projections

• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills required with ability to articulate complex concepts into clear and concise content
• Understanding of revenue cycles, work flows, and job costing
• Highly communicative and responsive - active in collaboration
• Familiar with Sales and use tax laws
• Excel, ADP, Microsoft Dynamics knowledge is a plus
