Corporate Counsel - Litigation
Description
We are looking for a dynamic, talented Corporate Counsel – Litigation to join our team specializing in litigation headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana . The role is designated hybrid and requires less than 20% overall travel.
In this role, the Corporate Counsel – Litigation will make an impact in the following ways:
- Provides support and leadership in legal function projects.
- Responsible for handling a variety of complex legal matters or projects across a wide range of businesses, regions and/or functions.
- Responsible for project and matter management with limited supervision; exercises independent judgment.
- Shares in management of outside counsel relationships.
- May supervise and/or mentor one or more paralegals, or administrative assistants.
- Demonstrates specialization proficiency in one or more areas of law, specialty, or function; acts as a resource to others.
- Acts as trusted advisor for mid to high level management; has strong grasp of business environment; effectively partners with business to identify and design needed improvements; provides legal as well as practical advice within the appropriate business context; understands and manages client expectations.
- May be allocated responsibility to support in management of a relationship with a business unit, business segment, region, or function.
- Assists in development of legal strategies for business.
- Recognized as a developing expert in an area of law, specialty, function, or geographic region; negotiates legal matters within the individual’s realm of responsibility.
- Influence or contribute to overall objectives and goals of organization.

Project Management: Establishes and maintains the "Balanced Triangle" of Scope, Schedule and Resources for a temporary effort (a "project")
Situational adaptability: Adapting approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations
Strategic mindset: Seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies
Education/ Licenses, Certifications & Experience
- A minimum of 6 years of corporate/firm litigation experience required
- Law degree required
- License to practice law in the home jurisdiction required
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $127,500-$212,500. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
