Copy Editor Jobs

smartdept. inc is looking for a Copy Editor for a client of ours. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of grammar and punctuation, as well as the ability to edit copy for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. The position will be responsible for editing and applying brand standards to a large number of PowerPoint files. This is a fully remote, contract opportunity expected to last around 2 weeks. The pay for this position is $25/hr - $30/hr.

What You'll Do

• Edit written content for grammar, punctuation, and clarity
• Work closely with writers and other members of the marketing team to ensure that content meets the needs of the target audience
• Make sure that content is free of errors and typos
• Ensure that content is consistent with the company's style guide

What You'll Need

• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
• Strong understanding of grammar and punctuation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• 3-5 years of experience as a copy editor
• Proficiency in Dropbox
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in Google Suite
• Knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style
