Duties


The Coordinator of Student Placement duties include but are not limited to


The Coordinator of Student Placement will manage student academic records, district referrals, and communicate with district on specific student needs including direct case management and program management.


  • Maintain program and student records
  • Develop and facilitate professional development opportunities
  • Evaluation and enhancement of existing programs
  • Promote a safe and secure environment following emergency and crisis plans, Code of Conduc
  • Support and enhance academic outcomes for students
  • Work collaboratively and communicate regularly with all stakeholders
  • Facilitate job shadowing and internship experiences for students


Job Qualifications


NYS Certification as a School Counselor, School Psychologist, School Social Worker, or School Building Leader. Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience as a classroom teacher or related service supporting marginalized students. Experience working in BOCES or working as a partner with a BOCES.


Candidates should possess a broad skill set of effective leadership skills including, but not limited to:


  • Excellent management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of curriculum content and accepted methods of instruction.
  • Promoting equity and culturally responsive practices to create inclusive environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


Position may require the successful completion of all elements of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training. W-FL BOCES provides Initial and refresher TCI Trainings.
