Job Description

Position Title: Coordinator for Youth Ministry
Reports to: Youth Pastor
Status: Full-time, Support Staff (40 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, Wednesday evenings, Sunday mornings


Job Purpose and Goals:


The position exists for the two-fold purpose of providing a high level of coordination of people and activities in support of the Youth Ministry team at Lincoln Berean Church and to extend the productivity of the team directors. This role requires exceptional planning, follow-through, financial acumen, and coordination of communication.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Event Planning

  • Logistics for events outside of LBC including, research, scheduling, making reservations, communication, etc.
  • Coordinate details for weekly events (Student Ministry Night on Wednesday nights and Activate on Sunday morning)
  • Assist with details for larger events such as: Summer Camp and Missions Trips

Oversee Check-in Team

  • Build relationships with volunteers
  • Be present at check-in to support volunteers and interact with students
  • Recruit and train volunteer team that facilitates check-in on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings

Database Management

  • Become a pro at using Ministry Platform to:
    • Maintain student information
    • Enter new students
    • Create and maintain events for registration
    • Report and communicate with staff and families

Administrative Assistance

  • Shelby: enter purchases and check requests for all Youth staff electronically
  • Purchase supplies and maintain inventory for the office and/or events
  • Respond to emails and phone calls from parents, students, and staff at LBC
  • Attend and take notes for Youth team L10’s (weekly team meeting)
  • Espace: create and manage room reservations at LBC
  • Assist with the Youth Ministry financials and budget

  • Detail Oriented – Retains details and foresees potential conflicts that may need attention
  • Great Smile – Not that you are always smiling – but you are an easy person for people to talk to whether it’s about a late registration (again) or a more serious issue they want to talk about with a Pastor
  • Has a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Tech Savvy – Ability to learn and navigate various programs quickly
  • Highly Organized – A must for events, weekly programming, supplies and resources
  • Flexible – Able to easily switch between routine, weekly tasks and random ones
  • Self-Starter – demonstrated capacity to anticipate needs before they arise; demonstrated capability in forming systems of administration
  • High School Diploma / Associate Degree
