How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The HR Analytics and Insights team is seeking a Co-Op to leverage their passion in data management, reporting and analytics to support the HR team at Delta. The Co-Op will work closely with the HR Reporting and Analytics team creating multi-functional data extracts from enterprise-wide data sources in-order to maintain/enhance applications, develop reports and analyses, visualize data creatively, and create documentation & automated processes. The Co-Op will directly interact with multiple internal client groups from HR, Finance and Operations to coordinate the automation of production reports, development of ad hoc data reports and intake of requirements.

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)

• Must be available and a current student for all 3 alternating semesters: Fall 2023, Summer 2024, and Spring 2025
• Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
• Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the Co-op
• Experienced in database applications (SQL, MS Access) and advanced Excel skills (V-Lookup, Pivot Table, Macros)
• At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
• Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
• Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
• Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into a logical and actionable story
• Strong written and oral communication skills and able to produce concise, relevant, strategic documents and executive presentations
• Undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a 4-year academic institution
• Interest in data visualization

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications)

• Exposure to HR applications, SAP or similar ERPs
• Undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information Systems or a quantitative discipline.
• Ability to digest large amounts of data and information and succinctly explain what can be learned from the data and how it can support decision making
