Cook For Preschool/Child Care Center

Summary

Pullman Christian Childcare Center is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated cook, who has a desire to serve the families, children, and other employees at PCCC in both heart and food. The Cook must be available to prepare and deliver all meals for PCCC children according to the corresponding menus and allergy adjustments while maintaining the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) and CACFP (USDA Food Program) requirements. Experience cooking in a childcare center is nice, but not a requirement.

*Preferred hours 9:00 am to 2:00 pm daily Monday - Friday* -There is a possibility of being a full-time position if the applicant would also like to receive training to be in the classrooms as an assistant teacher.

Duties

• Freezer/Fridge, and
• All surfaces, sinks, and floors,
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitization requirements for the Kitchen including:
• Be available to receive US Food order when it is delivered and check for any errors.
• Submit monthly meal menu from Kitchen with notes for any changes to the menu.
• PCCC food cupboards,
• Communicate supply and maintenance needs to Director.
• Any other maintenance/sanitization requirements.
• Submit completed chore chart to the office weekly.
• Keep up-to-date with requirements based on the WAC, CACFP, PCCC, and LFF policies.
• Put all US Food items away in appropriate location for storage following guidelines.
• Complete a weekly inventory and order guide to submit for weekly US Food orders.
• Maintain current Food-Handler's Certification.

Requirements

• Ability to work well with others.
• Must clear full background check.
• Ability to work alone for extended period of time.
• Must pass health screening.
• Food Handlers Permit (can provide training)
