Responsibilities Of The Hospital Controller

• Train and supervise personnel in the Accounting Department.
• Supervise and control general accounting functions, budget and reimbursement activities and all statistical information gathering and reporting.
• Prepare and assemble the institution's operating budget in cooperation with management and department heads.
• Keep abreast of all regulations and standards (including those pertaining to financial, billing and reporting procedures) to ensure compliance with orders or directives issued by duly constituted governmental/regulatory agencies or third-party payers.

Requirements Of The Healthcare Controller

• 3+ years of financial/accounting experience with 2+ years of supervisory experience in the hospital setting.
• Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or business is required.
• Master's or CPA is preferred.
