About The
As part of the Executive Team, the Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization. They are responsible for ensuring that the company's financial operations are efficient, effective, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
As an early member of our Finance team, you’ll have a key role in helping leaders make crucial business decisions and navigating through the most impactful problems we have as a company.
In This Position, You Will
  • Oversee the company's financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Coordinate the preparation of tax returns, audits, and other regulatory filings.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure financial stability, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and analyze the company's financial performance, including identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and manage the company's budget and forecast, including collaborating with other departments to develop accurate and achievable projections.
  • Manage the company's banking relationships, including monitoring cash balances, managing debt, and ensuring compliance with loan agreements.
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings; maintains a thorough understanding of rules and regulations that may impact the business.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage the company's risk management activities, including identifying and mitigating financial risks.
  • Develop and execute key accounting policies and controls for our company.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance and payroll teams, including setting performance goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.
The Ideal Candidate Will Bring
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • At least ten years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with at least five years in a management role.
  • Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in financial software (NetSuite) and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • CPA License required - active status preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
  • Healthcare or related industry experience is helpful.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • You have a deep understanding of how to break down and solve complex, ambiguous problems with a demonstrated track of building efficient, scalable processes.
This is a hybrid role with at least 3 days expected working out of our San Bruno, CA office.

Base Salary: $150k-$180k
