Role Overview

Reporting directly to the VP, Finance, the Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations such as general ledger accounting, tax, accounts receivables, accounts payable, inventory, job costing, and internal controls. The Controller will be responsible for generating consolidated financial statements and bank reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruiting, managing, and developing a best-in-class accounting department.
• Collaborating and contributing to the Senior Leadership Team to improve overall company performance.
• Overseeing timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Serving as the Company's technical accounting expert and updating the Audit Committee and Senior Management on changes to accounting rules and its impact on the business.
• Partnering and sponsoring cross-functional committees to support the organizations transformation initiative and other strategic initiatives.
• Automating current processes to improve efficiency.
• Working with Senior Management and Corporate Development on M&A activities when needed.
• Overseeing all accounting operations; ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with US GAAP.
• Acting as a liaison to internal and external audit firms.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead a fast-paced team with a strategic mindset towards modernizing processes while maintaining strong financial controls.
• Experience in management reporting for a Private Equity backed organization.
• Demonstrated track-record of improving systems and being part of a team that help modernize processes to drive a more efficient and scalable business model; ERP implementation experience is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task, navigate through ambiguity, and manage conflict and difficult conversations in a very fast paced environment.
• 5+ years demonstrated progressive responsible financial and accounting leadership roles
• Significant knowledge of GAAP
• Experienced with communicating and presenting the financial performance and leading indicators of the company to all levels of the company including C-level executives.
• Minimum BA in Accounting or Finance, MBA is highly desirable
• Willingness to collaborate with a broad range of functional groups and understand their business processes, concerns, and requirements.
• Experience with capturing, analyzing, and proactively delivering financial data and insights that maximize strategic decision making.
• CPA preferred
