Job Description
KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting is working with a privately held, well established company in the Lebanon, NH area that is hiring a Controller to take on a leadership role with the organization. The Controller will be responsible for managing a small team and supporting ownership with accounting and financial reporting. Experience in a small to medium sized company is preferred. Our client is very motivated to hire and is seeking a candidate who can interview immediately. Preferred industries, engineering, manufacturing, project or building related industries.
The responsibilities for the Controller will include but will not be limited to:
  • Lead FPA, the budget process and financial reporting/strategy for ownership.
  • Take ownership of and drive the close process, produce accurate value added financial statements.
  • Be responsible for leading the operational accounting team and being the go to person for their questions and direction
  • Account reconciliations, journal entries and general hands on accounting.
  • Be a resource for accounting issues, establishing policies and procedures and responding to audits.
The ideal candidate for the Controller should have experience that meets the following requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in a complex organization with deadlines
  • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent systems skills, advanced Excel
