Our Controller is part of the outsourced accounting team, which may include an Accountant, Sr. Accountant, Accounting Manager, Controller and CFO. The Controller is responsible for implementing accounting and financial processes using RoseRyan’s core technology systems to prepare management and board financial reports.
The Controller manages the month and year-end close processes, ensuring daily transactional tasks (accounts payable/receivables, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, cash forecasting, etc) are completed timely and accurately. Provides guidance, training and mentoring to the team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide recommendations to the Controller for process improvements
- Monitor and analyze department workflow to develop efficient procedures and use of resources
- Utilize RoseRyan best practice standard tools, templates and methodologies in delivery of client services and interacting with RoseRyan personnel; ensure entire RoseRyan team is utilizing these tools
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure all deadlines are met.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce accurate and timely financial reports and statements.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Meet financial accounting objectives.
Requirements
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance or work equivalent
- Proven knowledge of GAAP and accounting processes
- Advanced computer skills on accounting software and databases
- Minimum 5 years prior supervisory experience in accounting or finance
