The EPIC Controller we are looking for:
This role will report to the HFD Chief Financial Officer directly and work directly and indirectly with other resources within Crosscheck and related entities. There will also be interaction as needed with outside investors, bank partners, and other counterparties to coordinate reporting or other ongoing requirements. The role is needed to ensure the financial accuracy and coordination of financial transactions between multiple entities. In the role, the candidate will need to show diligence, vigilance, and proactive steps to ensure that future plans can be executed well and meet the needs of our investors, lenders, and other stakeholders. Career-level professional within the field. Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conducts complex, important work with wide latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
  • Monthly Financial reports prepared by 7th of each month
  • Daily banking requirements executed timely
  • Daily completion of banking, purchasing, and accounting records for all entities
  • Servicing Metrics Monitoring Criteria and Action Plan
  • Borrowing base Covenants Monitoring
  • Alerts and Action steps for indicators
  • Vintage monitoring Weekly and monthly with reports to GM
  • Coordination of Servicing Metrics and actions to hold Servicer accountable
  • Future Cash Flow plan for each Program and Vintage by portfolio
  • Recording daily Sale at Origination Activity
  • Proactive Quality Driven Approach to Providing information to Outside Parties
  • Daily Reconciliation of Cash flows
Desired Outcomes
  • Vintage Reporting on Each monthly origination for all programs; Loss rates, first payment default, cumulative collection and loss rates, loss curve analysis, early payoff, delinquency rates
  • Financial analysts each assigned to record and monitor accounting for 1-3 entities
  • Financial Analysts prepare monthly reports for each entity for Chief Financial Officer and General Manager Review
  • Aggregated Financial statements for parent holding company
  • 8-10+ separate funds with explicitly clear accounting records
  • Weekly Review of Servicing and Collection activities for all portfolios
  • Funding Cycle for various finance contract purchases
Requirements
  • Tax Preparation and Tax Planning Strategies
  • Ability to supervise team of 5-10 employees
  • Internal Controls Implementation
  • Cash Flow Planning
  • 5-10 years in prior controller or finance roles
  • GAAP Financial Experience
  • Multiple entities
  • Fund accounting environment
  • 3rd party Audit by outside parties
  • CPA or equivalent technical background
