Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Warehouse Systems, CA is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Division Controller. This Department Manager level position reports directly to the General Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leadership role in managing the human resources, information systems, and purchasing-related activities and personnel.
• Leadership role in managing all of the division’s accounting and financial reporting, as well as being a key contributor in developing and executing the strategic direction of the division and product group.
• Provide general financial experience and leadership to critically analyze business situations and formulate appropriate strategies.
• Leadership role in promoting safety as a value, environmental stewardship and profitability.
• Be a key business partner to the commercial, operations and maintenance teams and help facilitate continuous improvement across the facility.
• Travel is required to our NWS locations and other Divisions as needed.
• Leadership role for protecting Nucor’s assets through risk-management activities and maintaining an appropriate internal control structure, and various contract negotiations.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years of work experience in financial-related position
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting
• California employment law knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in human resources, information systems, or purchasing Prior leadership experience
• CPA or MBA
• Bilingual (English-Spanish)
