Position Description


The Controller will oversee and build an accounting team which will use the Company's newly-adopted ERP system for financial reporting processes. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. The Controller is also responsible for enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensuring that reported results are provided in a timely manner. The position is also responsible for cash management and risk management. The Controller's general responsibilities will include: Issue timely and complete financial statements; Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points; Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to the current economic landscape; Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines; Own the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors; Drive all entities' compliance and filings, including tax filings, local filings for various states and all foreign entities' filings; Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action; Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development, and help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies. The incumbent may telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. This position will require up to 20% domestic and international travel.


Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (or foreign equivalent). At least seven (7) years of proven accounting experience at a national or international level as well as the following skills: Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (specifically GAAP); Strong understanding of economic of national and international banking processes; Experience building and managing accounting teams; Implementation and managing ERP systems; Operational cost accounting in a manufacturing facility setting; Proficiency in timely closing and providing financial statements; and Multi-unit/multi-entity accounting consolidation experience. Valid Certified Public Accountant ("CPA") license from any U.S. state.
