Accounting Manager / Controller

We're looking for an Accounting Manager / Controller for a rapidly growing, PE-backed manufacturing firm creating an innovative product line to serve a niche SMB marketplace. With a high revenue-per-employee run rate and a very unique supply chain that gives them the edge we are seeking a talented individual to help them build upon this success and move the needle forward as they are on track to grow significantly.

In this high-impact role you will be working closely with a very personable CFO who takes pride in the Finance department’s nimble and streamlined process. Experience in managing the general accounting function in manufacturing, SAP or other major ERP systems, standard costing/labor and overhead valuation of inventory would set you up for success in this role. Ideally you see yourself as a future CFO and embrace the opportunity to perform analysis, build Board decks and attend monthly meetings with the Private Equity firm alongside the CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit, coach and develop a strong team of accounting professionals
• Oversee external audits and ensure compliance with government jurisdictions (tax, etc.)
• Expertly oversee all accounting ops - Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition
• Perform ongoing cash analysis and forecasting to evaluate cash requirements
• Evaluate cost allocations, labor, inventory, and planning for acquisitions
• Perform assessments of internal controls + operations to determine areas to improve and make implementations
• Prepare/publish monthly statements and budget, as well as variance reporting and KPIs reports in order to make recommendations on progress and company targets
• Maintain QC over all financial transactions and reporting

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills in a team setting
• BA/BS in accounting, finance or business-related field (a Master's Degree preferred)
• At least 5 years of proven accounting/finance experience, including work in a manufacturing organization, product conversion experience is preferred
• Strong SAP or other major ERP systems required
