Controller ($175K-$200K)

Our client is a trailblazing company that is transforming the industry with groundbreaking technology and solutions. The company is thriving and rapidly expanding with headcount increasing by 20% this past year alone.

They are seeking a Controller who will occupy a key position within the accounting group and be a trusted advisor to constituents across the company. Compensation will be between $175K-$200K (depending on experience). Hybrid work environment / in-office 2x per week.

The controller will take an active role in development of people, process and systems that will support a high growth software company. The ideal candidate will have a mix of start-up or other high-growth experience, a hands-on operational orientation, and technical accounting skills.

Your Impact

• Develop, improve, and document policies, procedures, and controls for efficient and high-quality financial reporting and asset preservation
• Lead the development, modification, and review of accounting systems, chart of accounts, reporting methods, and controls. Coordinate accounting functions with IT as necessary
• Drive all technical accounting positions and policies, including revenue recognition and the convergence of U.S. GAAP and IFRS
• Support the company’s FP&A team in operational reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis activities
• Ensure compliance with international, federal, state and local licensing and tax requirements
• Manage all functional finance activities including billing, A/R, A/P, cash management, and expense reimbursement
• Recruit, orient, train and manage a high-functioning accounting team
• Ownership of an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close, incl. account analysis and reconciliations

Your Experience

• Experience as a controller in a high-growth organization required; experience with a national or large regional accounting firm preferred
• Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting required
• Public company experience a plus
• Experience overseeing accounting for and intercompany consolidation of international operations preferred
• Technology / software industry experience preferred
• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce a plus; ERP implementation experience a plus
