Job Description
Controller


We are seeking a Controller to join our team and play a pivotal role in analyzing and reporting financial data from manufacturing activities. As a Controller, you will determine the cost of conducting business, support manufacturing, sales, and management with valuable financial information, and contribute to the profitability of the company. You will be responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and quality of monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reporting and analysis, with a focus on inventory, labor, and procurement cost.

  • Coordinate financial planning and budgetary process, integrating budgets effectively.
  • Manage the general accounting function and month-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis of all accounts.
  • Oversee daily operations related to invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Provide ongoing management and coaching to the accounting team, fostering professional and personal growth opportunities.
  • Utilize knowledge of ERP Systems, preferably Epicor advantage, to enhance financial analysis processes.
  • Coordinate and manage annual financial statement and tax audits.
  • Improve cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism, including establishing minimum cash thresholds to meet operating needs.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and quality of monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reporting and analysis, including inventory, labor, and procurement cost.
  • Analyze and report financial data from manufacturing activities to determine the cost of conducting business.
  • Develop and implement processes for collections, denials, appeals, payment posting, and customer communications.
  • Direct billing, collections, and related processes for multiple clients and payers.
  • Prepare financial statement reporting and analysis, as well as management reporting for the senior leadership team.
  • Proficiently work with various software and applications, with advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
  • Provide valuable financial information to support manufacturing, sales, and management in making informed business decisions and reducing product costs.


Qualifications:


  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while seeking guidance when needed.
  • Proven experience managing general accounting functions and month-end closing processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience coordinating financial statement and tax audits.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting functions.
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems, particularly Epicor advantage, is desirable.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Previous experience in managing billing, collections, and related processes is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cash flow projections and reporting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail and organization.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.
