Job Description
Headquartered in Rocky River OH, Canvus is looking to add a dynamic leader in our financial department. The Controller will be a key component in the financial strategy at Canvus, collaborating closely with the executive team to drive initiatives, identify and implement process improvement, and provide actionable insight for manufacturing, sales, and finance.
Who are we? Canvus is a manufacturer of extraordinary products made from retired wind turbine blades.
  • Hands on in managing AR/AP and pushing boundaries of automation for simplicity
  • Collaborating with an executive team in establishing more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of a company’s accounting/financial procedure and procurement processes
  • Overseeing all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures
  • Coordinate all audit activity
  • Providing executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy making and financial strategizing
  • Tracking cost saving activities for the site
  • Review, analyze and evaluate financial data and information for accuracy, consistency and growth.
  • Participate in cross department analysis from sales pipelines and customer profiles to cost analysis in the plant and inventory analysis
  • Hands on in managing AR/AP and pushing boundaries of automation for simplicity
  • Drive Growth. Use your position and insight to guide the company toward greater profitability
  • Managing the budget process, procurement flows, and understand/manage company spend to the fullest
  • Define, benchmark and implement operational best practices
  • Summarizing budget trends, analyzing deficiencies and reporting variances to executives
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in progressing Accounting and Financial role
  • Strong change management leadership skills required to drive environment of continuous improvement
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • Experience in manufacturing a plus.
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
