Job Description

SecureStrux is seeking a results-driven Controller who thrives on analysis and possesses a deep understanding of Federal accounting practices, encompassing pricing, auditing, and DCAA compliance activities. As a Controller in our organization, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving the efficiency of finance and accounting operations, as well as conducting comprehensive analyses and preparing detailed reports. Your leadership will extend to managing a dedicated team of accounting professionals, shaping strategic business approaches, establishing administrative policies and procedures, and formulating budgets and financial reports to optimize our business operations.


Location:

  • Hybrid position between your home office and our HQ in Lancaster, PA


The Work You’ll Do:

  • Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts and statements to understand the financial state of business.
  • Keep up to date on the financial market to understand how to maximize profits and find new expansion areas, while monitoring financial reports to help determine ways to reduce costs.
  • Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations, including DCAA compliance processes.
  • Advise on business models to support sustainable revenue generation, inclusive of financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, significant costs, benchmarks, and other matters with leadership.
  • Monitor a company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs.
  • Manage all aspects of accounting, including billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses.
  • Manage contract backlog and forecasting of revenues and profits.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the general ledger accounts in the accounting system using GAAP and FARS practices.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, a creative problem-solving approach, and the ability to work independently and alongside a team.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field, with 2-4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest of confidentiality and respect for professional boundaries.


Bonus Points:

  • Comprehensive understanding of local, state and federal employment laws.
  • Power BI or equivalent data analytics knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting software preferred.
  • Appropriate certification in accounting and/or auditing is strongly preferred, such as a CPA license.
  • Experience with Federal regulations and requirements, (i.e., DCAA compliant processes).
  • Strong knowledge of FARS practices.
