This is an engagement through Upwork’s Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork’s business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.


Work/Project Scope:


  • Troubleshoot customer’s needs using Zendesk
  • Respond to customer escalations for payments related inquiries/issues in a timely and accurate way
  • Issue credits or payments adjustments to customers with limited errors
  • Collect data from different reporting sources and summarize it
  • Assist with other duties as assigned
  • Document processes and offer ideas for improvement as needed
  • Work closely with the customer support team and external vendors to find a timely resolution to customer’s problems


Must Haves (Required Skills):


  • Demonstrate strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, and critical thinking
  • Payment operations experience working in cross-currency, ACH, wire transfer, and credit card space
  • Ability to learn new things quickly
  • Superb MS Suite, Google Suite, and Zendesk experience
  • English fluency is a must
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday from 6 am- 3 pm PST, but flexibility in shift times may be required
  • Ability to manage work independently and rise to the occasion to help the team and cross-functional partners
  • Deliver excellent customer service while upholding department’s service standards and policies
  • Efficient with the ability to work under pressure and meet all SLAs
  • Strong attention to detail
