Job Description
Contract Manager (Procurement)


Vanguard Renewables is the premier anaerobic digester developer/owner/operator in the United States. Our closed-loop anaerobic digestion process converts organic waste and cow manure into green electricity or renewable natural gas as well as other related “value-added” products. We are headquartered in MA, funded by institutional capital partners, and currently, have 20+ projects operating and in development in over 13 states. We have a plan to aggressively expand into other domestic markets.


The Procurement Contract Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of procurement contracts within the organization. This includes developing and negotiating contracts, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.


Responsibilities


  • Monitor supplier performance and manage any issues or disputes that arise.
  • Ensure that contracts meet the company's needs and comply with all laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and present reports on contract performance and compliance to senior management.
  • Ensure that all procurement activities align with the company's procurement strategy.
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage procurement contracts across the EPC team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Consistent and on-time attendance
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop contract requirements and specifications.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring that all contract terms are met.
  • Monitor compliance with contract terms and conditions, acting as needed to address any non-compliance.
  • Keep up to date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact procurement contracts.


Skills And Qualifications


  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, law, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement laws and regulations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement contract management or related field
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Advanced degree or certification in procurement or a related field, such as a CPSM, is an asset.
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry is a plus.
