While this is a remote role, you must live within driving distance of the Atlanta office for occasional meetings.


The Content Strategist is responsible for planning, researching, strategizing, planning, and developing relevant content based on Digital Yalo’s business objectives and clients’ needs. Ultimately, your responsibility will be to ensure the content aligns with the brand and adds value to existing and prospective clients.


In this role you will:


  • Create specifications and content appropriate for the brand's customer personas
  • Develop editorial strategy, keeping content consistent across all delivery platforms
  • Plan the editorial calendar and content proposition
  • Strategize content pillars and sub pillars
  • Perform exhaustive research to gain in-depth knowledge of all customer personas
  • Conduct extensive research and analysis on consumer thoughts and trends
  • Track and calculate content ROI
  • Conduct periodic content audits
  • Oversee writing style and tone for all content
  • Strategize and improve content delivery and promotion
  • Collaborate with content management teams, creative teams, and writers to implement the strategy
  • Analyze content marketing strategy to evaluate the success
  • Develop content governance guidelines for tone, style, and voice
  • Ensure that content strategy meets business objectives


A Day in the Life:


  • Experience with SEO software like SEMRush or BrightEdge
  • Learning their priorities and content needs
  • Creating and managing social media campaigns
  • Creating target audience profiles
  • Building and leading strategic partnerships
  • Keyword analysis and implement best SEO practices based on key findings
  • Managing content marketing campaigns


To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • Content delivery skills – you determine the best distribution channel to deliver content to your audience
  • Content monetization skills – as a content strategist, you must be able to plan how your content can get customers to buy your product or service and thereby earn revenue
  • Content presentation skills – you should be able to determine how content should be packaged for new and existing consumers to prompt them to take business actions
  • Editorial competency – you will conduct thorough audits to determine what content should be kept, edited, rewritten, and more
  • Excellent copywriting skills – if you can't write great content, it doesn't matter how well you strategize it!
  • Proven experience in handling and strategizing marketing campaigns.
  • Multitasking and organizational skills – you will have to handle several types of projects and people regularly
  • Good analytical abilities to spot patterns and trends in content marketing data
