Job Description
Position Summary
Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Manager in Boston, MA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.
Work You’ll Do
Manage information technology projects, software advisory, and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Evaluate the technology needs of an organization, develop strategies to increase the company's profitability, and design and implement plans to comply with legislation and ensure business growth through information technology projects. Manage day-to-day interactions with executives and sponsors and develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients. Lead aspects of the proposal development process for information technology projects and contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Perform role of counselor and coach, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, and provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Improve internal processes and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence.
  • 50% Travel required nationally.
  • Telecommuting permitted.
Requirements
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of progressive related work experience. Position requires 3 years of related work experience in each of the following:
  • EOE.
  • Utilizing Project Management methodologies, Human Centric design approach, Project Plan, Jira, Gantt Charts, and Work Breakdown Structure to manage the design and development of project solutions;
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyzing client requirements, and translating requirements into project designs, utilizing Human Centric Design methodologies, policy analysis, use case diagrams, and conducting brainstorming sessions or sprint planning meetings;
  • Managing the project responsibilities of cross-functional onshore and offshore team members to ensure efficient completion of project tasks, utilizing Gantt Charts, Project Plan, and Jira Dashboards.
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverable status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders, utilizing Tableau dashboards, Jira dashboards, Gantt Charts, Project Plan, and Microsoft (MS) PowerPoint;
  • Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes, and environments to support project design of future-state/to-be systems, processes, and environments, utilizing flow charts, process maps, and performing gap analysis;
  • Utilizing Waterfall methodology, Scrum framework, Jira, Gantt Charts, Work Breakdown Structure, Project Plan, and Communication Plan to manage software advisory and implementation services for clients in the Government & Public Sector industries;
  • Supervising teams focused on Design, Development, Testing, Deployment, and Production Support workstreams of engagements;
  • Managing all phases of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid Agile project delivery and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for designing, developing, testing, and implementing robust systems for enterprise-level clients;
