Construction Superintendent Jobs

Come join the Liebe Construction Services Team! Immediate opening for an experienced Construction Superintendent who is willing to travel to multiple locations to oversee the coordination and field execution of construction projects in the Chicagoland area. The candidate will report to and work closely with the Project Manager(s) as well as the President of Liebe Construction Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with project manager to update monthly schedules.
• Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, etc. to determine project needs.
• Order, monitor, and coordinate material deliveries.
• Manage and coordinate all subcontractor and supplier scopes of work.
• Monitor and report on project progress.
• Direct management of site operations and overseeing trade contractors.
• Keep track of material stock orders.
• Implement safety and quality guidelines.
• Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback.
• Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and develop meeting minutes, maintain daily reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, be self-motivated and a good communicator.
• Candidate should have minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction field.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• K-12 Education, hospitality and healthcare experience is a plus.

ADDITONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to support the team as needed, nights and weekends.
• Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, be self-motivated and a good communicator.
• Comfortable balancing multiple projects at a time
• OSHA 30 Hour qualified
• Loading and unloading equipment and materials, overseeing, sitting, standing, seeing and hearing.
• Read and comprehend building plans and drawings

Education:

Engineering or Construction Manager degree is preferred but not required.

Hiring is subject to a background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Industry standard based on experience, but negotiable
