Job Description

Shreya Construction, has been operating in the area since 2009. We have built close relationships with local engineers and contractors to provide outstanding customer service and on time, on budget delivery of a variety of projects large and small.We are searching for the right candidate to build upon these connections in our industry and to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.


Responsibilities

- Schedule subcontractors and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.

- Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

- Ensure that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work

- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions

- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution

- Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously

- Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team

- Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning

- Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.

- Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regard to quality of work and/or scheduling

- Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner

- Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion

- Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope

- Preside at pre-construction meeting with each subcontractor

- Opening the jobsite at beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day

- Superintendent shall supervise all subcontractors and vendors on a daily basis. This supervision shall ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work performed.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Provide direction to and resolve problems amongst subcontractors and vendors.

- Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution

- Blueprint reading

- Communication via email, basic

- Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures

Education and/or Experience:

Minimum of one years of verifiable experience as a superintended is preferred; Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

- This position involves work at a construction site where duties will be performed both indoors and outdoors.

- Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines

- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk;

- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel;

- Reach with hands and arms;

- Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and

- Talk or hear

- The employee is occasionally required to sit.

- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds


Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat; The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.


Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
