Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Project Accountant to join our team Permanently in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in Accounting, Project Accounting, Job Cost, Reconciliations, Construction, Builders, and Month End Closing. As a Construction Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial aspects of construction projects from start to finish. You will be working closely with the project team to ensure that the project is completed within budget and on time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial reporting regulations
• Conduct regular job cost reviews and reconciliations
• Ensure that all project expenses are properly recorded and accounted for
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the project team
• Work closely with the construction team to identify and resolve any financial issues that may arise
• Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Provide support to the project team as needed
• Prepare and analyze project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting, Project Accounting, Job Cost, Reconciliations, Construction, Builders, and Month End
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Timberline is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
