Job Summary: The Construction Estimator estimates the work of specific projects by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

Responsibilities:
  • Work in Blue Beam, RS Means and Blue Book programs
  • Ability to Scope and support Large scale projects down to small program management retail programs.
  • Consult with project managers, vendors, and other departmental personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Meet with clients and communicate in a professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Support Company Financial goals and objectives for profit and Margin.
  • Obtain, organize, and analyze multiple subcontractor quotes across varying trades by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors and negotiating price nationally.
  • Create and compile detailed cost estimates
  • Work with drawings, specifications, supplier quotations, engineering standards, and other information to provide material take-offs and cost estimates.
Qualifications:
Skills
  • Driven, dependable, self-managed individual with focused attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of the RFP Bid process
  • Develop subcontractor data base expansion.
  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and BlueBeam
  • Existing vendor & subcontractor relationships a plus
Education, experience, certifications
  • Minimum of 2+ years recent experience in commercial construction estimating
  • Retail/Restaurant experience a must
  • Degree in construction related field a plus
