About the Job

United Public Adjusters and Appraisers is seeking self-starting individuals who have between 5 – 10 years of experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated independent thinker with the ability to manage a diverse work-load.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Can produce conceptual / schematic estimates from narratives only.
• Understands labor, materials & markups that contribute to trade rates in estimates.
• Ability to identify the most significant cost risks/ impacts on a project.
• Understands general conditions & temporary project requirements.
• MUST be willing to travel
• Concisely present estimates and cost plans to prospects, clients.
• Can perform detailed estimates when required. Both quantifying and production of cost rates.
• Understands the value management & value engineering process.
• Ability to program in excel with analytical approach is desirable
• Feels comfortable in a presentation environment & presenting to groups of industry peers.
• Experienced with measurement and measurement software such as Xactimate preferred. (we are willing to train the right candidate)
• Is proficient in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Office.
• Ability to cost plan and conceptualize what is potentially missing from documents.

SALARY NEGOTIABLE BASED ON EXPERIENCE LEVEL.
