Concrete Finishers I-Iii Jobs

McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled Concrete Finishers (All Levels) for an exciting project in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will pour, smooth, and level concrete using various finishing hand/power tools (float, trowels, concrete vibrators, etc.). The ideal applicant has 2+ years of proven experience as a concrete finisher in large commercial construction projects and possess excellent finishing techniques.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recognize hazards and danger zones
• Complete Crew Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs daily

• Screed and finish wall tops
• Clean, fuel, and change blades of trowel machines
• Dry-pack equipment and grout steel column bases
• Finish small surfaces (concrete pads, block outs, etc.)
• Properly use of concrete finishing hand/power tools (float, trowel, bull float, broom, and edger)

• Assist other trades when necessary
• Vibrate decks

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience with self-perform concrete work in commercial, civil, or marine environments
• Must be familiar with different type of concrete vibrators and its applications

• Understand construction terminology
• Identify common construction materials, hand tools, and power tools (hammer, shovel, water pump, measuring tape, hammer drill, vibrators, saw, demolition hammer, etc.)
• Proven commitment to Safety
• Spray cure using Hudson Sprayer
• Understand area and volume concepts

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
• Work in an organized manner
• Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site
• Able to work night shifts when needed

• Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds
• Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
• Minimum age 18+
• Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
