Concrete Superintendent Jobs

Shimmick is seeking a highly talented Concrete Superintendent based out of Lewisville, TX. This challenging position will provide an excellent growth opportunity while improving the infrastructure of the city.

National Division

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects.
• Interfaces with all other administrative field staff, field management staff and particularly the Project Manager in a coordinated effort.
• Responsibilities are to ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
• Responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project.
• Directly supervise craftsmen for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete. Responsibilities are to ensure assigned job site operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards. Interfaces with all other administrative field staff, field management staff and particularly the Project Construction Manager in a coordinated effort.

Minimum Requirements:

• ACI Concrete Construction Inspector, Level I or ability to obtain within 30 days of hiring
• Experience placing concrete on heavy civil projects, managing placing and finishing crews.
• Experience placing mass concrete.
• HS/GED + 8 years of relevant experience or AA/AS (US) + 6 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s Degree + 4 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in overseeing hydraulic spillway concrete
• ACI Concrete Special Inspector certification
