Computer Scientist Jobs

Brandes Associates Inc. (BAI), a Defense contractor, seeks a Computer Scientist / Engineer with over 3 years of experience to work within the Airborne Electronic Attack MESA classified programs, working onsite at Point Mugu Naval Air Station in Camarillo, CA.

The typical annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 USD to $150,000.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.

• May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job
• Perform systems management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations
• Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns
• May analyze or recommend commercially available software
• Requires over three (3) years of experience in software development
• Works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently

3 to 10 years of experience performing the duties described in the functional description.

• Ability to work independently, self-starter
• Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening—for staff, customer, and organizational level communications, both formal and informal

Education BA/BS degree or higher in Computer Science or Mathematics

Allowable Substitution Associate degree plus 7 years’ additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree

Clearance Condition of employment - must have and maintain a DoD Final Secret Security Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
