Job Description

Compliance Specialist

Pay Rate: 75k-80k based on experience

Contract/Contract-to-hire

M-F: 8am-5pmREMOTE – MUST BE IN CALIFORNIA

Summary:

  • The Compliance Specialist will ensure compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements by monitoring internal policies and procedures and state and federal regulations. They will conduct and uphold these responsibilities while advising management on needed actions. This position is also responsible for taking the lead/and or supporting the business continuity preparatory and response activities under the Companies Business Continuity Plan.

:

  • Assess potential business continuity disruption events reported to the plan and work with supervisor to determine the actions that are required by the plan.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal agencies by studying existing and new legislation facilitating the program.
  • Examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation while reporting everything to the Director.
  • Develop communications and status updates for the plan’s business continuity team about business continuity disruption events, which should be recorded and tracked until completed.

Skills Needed:

  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel
  • Interpretation of current, new, and proposed federal regulations.
  • Medicare experience and working with health plans
  • Two years of experience in experienced care
