SUMMARY:

The Compliance Coordinator verifies that patients are using their equipment in compliance with medical and insurance guidelines. This role also retrieves equipment compliance report downloads and provides them to the appropriate physician.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Follow-up on non-compliant patients or escalate to team lead for assistance per policy and procedure.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
  • Obtain and forward patient records (i.e., face-to-face notes) from physician as required by referrals
  • Contact patients and physicians as needed to discuss usage compliance and follow-up
  • Retrieve electronic compliance reports from the equipment of assigned patients.
Requirements:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Six months’ experience in a medical/insurance/healthcare field.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with flex scheduling and/or work at home opportunities based on department needs and individual performance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no supervisory role.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment unless the employee works at home. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is typically required to sit; occasionally required to stand, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include both close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel is not typically required for this position.
