Compliance & Ethics Manager


Your Skills


Locations: Preferred: Washington DC, Charlotte NC, Atlanta GA, Orlando FL or Fort Lauderdale, FL. Will consider other major Cities along southeastern US.


The Area Compliance & Ethics Manager will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of an effective ethics and compliance program within the southeastern region of the United States from Washington DC to Miami, Florida (the “Area”). You will serve as the first point of contact for all Compliance related topics in your Area, will work collaboratively with the Chief Compliance Officer, Compliance & Ethics team and Schindler’s Area based business units, to apply best practices and promote ethical conduct. You will develop and maintain the relationships with business leaders and employees within your Area.

  • Lead compliance and ethics investigations and ensure appropriate action for resolution.
  • Undertake special initiatives and performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Create a working environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and ethical conduct.
  • Help develop, continually improve, and support business units to apply best practices.
  • Maintain corporate ethics and compliance program, continuously monitoring, enhancing, and updating as appropriate.
  • Work to strengthen compliance program approach with the mission to actively identify, assess, and manage code of conduct risks.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement employee compliance training programs and confirm accurate reporting with regards to completion of all required courses.


Your Experience

  • Bachelors’ Degree required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and activities in a calm, organized and professional manner, and able to manage ethical, legal, and investigative matters with confidentiality, discretion, and the utmost level of care.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in one or multiple areas of compliance, ethics, operational audit, HR, etc.
  • Juris Doctorate or Masters’ degree in Compliance, HR or Employment Law preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, data analysis and information gathering, and a proven ability to gain credibility, support, and engagement from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Specialized experience with handling employment related matters and code of conduct investigations, is required.
