Job Description
Job Summary
The Completion Foreman supervises contractors performing completion, well service, and workover operations on wells. This position will also coordinate with vendors and Continental Resources counterparts to ensure timely delivery of necessary materials, equipment, and crews to the wellsite.
Supervises, directs, and coordinates field hourly employees, non-technical exempt employees, and/or contractors. Responsible for a medium to large size geographical area, and a wide breadth of responsibility within their area of responsibility. Accountable for the results of a team or function’s performance. Recommends departmental strategic plans with strategic direction from next-level manager. Expertise across multiple work groups or mastery within functional area. Strong tactical decision-maker handles unforeseen issues; decisions effect mid- to long-term operational results. Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, and/or peer managers, normally involving matters between departments and work groups.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Recommend changes in techniques and procedures to Completion supervisor. Engineers and Completions Superintendent
  • Ensure timely delivery of all materials, equipment, and crews to uphold business continuity.
  • Perform weekly location audits to ensure CLR standards are being met.
  • Monitor cost performance and operational efficiency to identify and report trends.
  • Review and approve payable invoices code invoices for payment approval.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures and region’s applicable laws.
  • Follow up with contractors with adequate feedback to evolve their operations as needed within CLR’s scope of work.
  • Verify vendor compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationship with surface owners.
  • Travel to other areas as needed.
  • Communicate with pertinent contractors professionally and with ample lead time to ensure class leading safety standards and environmental stewardship are upheld.
  • Forecast upcoming needs from contractors and internally within completion operations.
  • Record/enter accurate and detailed daily work reports and daily costs into Wellview.

  • Directly supervise contract services employed in the completion or workover of wells.
  • Assist with vendor selection and material sourcing.

Required Qualifications
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
  • Five years or more related experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in related field.
Physical Requirements
  • Regular bending, crouching, pulling, and kneeling to check equipment and gauges
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently to move or manipulate objects.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time
  • Able to and comfortable working outdoors in the elements for extended periods of time.
  • Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises, hazardous chemicals, and hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required.
  • Ability to one-arm carry up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers
  • Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, and carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended periods of time
