The Completion Engineer is responsible for developing plans to complete horizontal wells within a fast-growing company. This engineer will be responsible for developing the design, monitoring the installation of well completions, and help devise methods to improve well performance. The Completion Engineer will work closely with other technical departments in relation to drilling wells in new and existing fields, track well performance, and continually optimize well frac design.

Responsibilities

• Plan and generate procedures for all completion operations and well intervention work.
• Plan service company involvement and personnel requirements.
• Troubleshoot well and completion related problems.
• Track costs for all completions jobs and provide technical and cost assessment reviews if necessary.
• Work closely with Production and Operations to track well performance and continually optimize well frac design.
• Prepare AFEs and stimulation programs.
• Manage frac schedule and ensure efficient well cycle time.
• Prepare and review equipment and service bids to make recommendation for selection.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn other computer applications.
• Experienced in designing horizontal well completions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from a 4-year accredited university required.
• Experienced in optimizing completion/workover designs and operations.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-discipline professionals and individuals at all levels.
• Experienced in evaluating and selecting appropriate equipment to achieve completion objectives.
• Must be a self-starter, motivated, with good organizational & reasoning skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• 2+ years of petroleum/completions engineering experience including supporting conventional & unconventional assets.
