Overview
La Colaborativa is seeking a bilingual Community Entrepreneurship Manager to join our Economic and Workforce Development department. The Community Entrepreneurship Manager will play a critical role in building equity around business administration education and access to support services for Spanish speaking community members. This position requires strong community organizing skills, experience in entrepreneurship development, and a deep understanding of the needs of underserved communities.
Responsibilities
La Colaborativa is seeking a bilingual Community Entrepreneurship Manager to join our Economic and Workforce Development department. The Community Entrepreneurship Manager will play a critical role in building equity around business administration education and access to support services for Spanish speaking community members. This position requires strong community organizing skills, experience in entrepreneurship development, and a deep understanding of the needs of underserved communities.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Economic and Workforce Development team to identify opportunities for collaboration and partnerships that support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with program partners to provide technical assistance and support to entrepreneurs, including financial management, marketing, and business plan development.
- Build relationships with local business owners, community organizations, and government agencies to create a strong network of support for entrepreneurs.
- Build and maintain a database of local resources for entrepreneurs, including funding opportunities, mentorship programs, and business support services.
- Develop and implement community-based entrepreneurship programs that provide Spanish speaking community members with access to the education and resources needed to start and grow their businesses.
- Collaborate with Academic Programs team to create client flow across academic and business education programs
- Develop and manage program budgets and ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting deadlines.
- Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to engage the Spanish speaking community in entrepreneurship programs and services.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other organizational events as required.
- Experience working with underrepresented communities, particularly Spanish speaking communities.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal resources for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Experience managing budgets and reporting on program outcomes.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- At least 3 years of experience in community organizing, entrepreneurship development, or a related field.
