Your Mission
Responsible for developing and executing the global lead generation marketing and communication strategies, tactics, and objectives as part of the Development team and will be involved in a broad range of assignments to support the department’s strategic plan. Supports the global development leadership team to develop, refine and implement marketing and communications projects, including media relations, marketing collateral, events, and department-level communications programs. Will champion the company brand identity across all developed materials. This position will deal with a variety of highly confidential and sensitive material and represents the organization to various internal constituents.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Develop and implement a proactive public relations program in support of the lead generation efforts by the US and International franchise development teams to include media relations around key announcements and grand openings
Develop and implement B2B marketing lead generation programs including paid campaigns on social media (LinkedIn, Facebook), SEO/SEM, email marketing, and traditional and digital programs with trade advertising publications
Oversee marketing and communications agency partners that assist with the development and implementation of strategic programs
Work with brand marketing and communications leaders to ensure that the global development marketing strategy and communications plans support the overriding brand marketing campaigns and objectives.
Participate in creative brainstorms with members of the greater marketing, creative and communications team to contribute to ensure the creative direction, messaging, and tactical approaches are aligned.
Research, write and edit franchise development marketing communications collateral, including questions and answers, content for company website, intranet content, newsletters, etc. This includes Interviewing and interfacing with key internal contacts from various company departments, franchisees, and other sources for communications content.
Work with senior franchise development leadership to develop speeches, presentations and other materials that target franchisees and typically include company highlights and emphasize key messages. Examples include webinars, business conferences, national marketing meetings, town hall meetings, etc.
Manage global marketing and communications budget, including tracking spend, reconciling expenses and informing leadership monthly the status of the budget and effectiveness of campaigns.
Serves as liaison between communications and marketing teams to achieve communications best practices and maintain brand standards across all projects. Who You Are:
Bachelors’ degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
Minimum of five 5 to 7 years of related work experience, including developing and executing strategic communications and marketing plans for franchise development and lead generation programs. Experience working with QSR is advantageous.
Must show solid understanding and successful application of marcom strategies, tools and approaches.
Evidence of excellent writing and editing skills; proficient and speedy writer producing complete and quality first drafts; and detailed knowledge of AP style.
Ability to consistently deliver under difficult conditions and demonstrated balanced judgment under pressure.
Demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Be comfortable in a fast paced, team-oriented environment to exceed client expectations.
Excellent presentation skills. Presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise well-organized manner.
Evidence of proficiency in software applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust as priorities change.
Demonstrate a proactive, supportive “pitch in” attitude when the team is faced with a priority deadline and share your own knowledge for the betterment of the team and the company.
